I was born in 1970 and live in Dinslaken. I’ve been playing backgammon since I was a child, and started reading books about it in my teens.
At 19 I was competing in regional tournaments. My wins there helped me fund my mathematics studies and motivated me to push onward.
In 1994 I got my first taste of international tournaments, and two years later I quit my studies altogether to become a backgammon professional.

After 20 tranquil years in the wonderful town of Bamberg, I moved to the Taunus region for my job.
Thanks to the proximity to Frankfurt and my growing interest in backgammon, I now have many more opportunities to play.

Hello, clever dice-throwing friends. I was born in 1988 in Gelsenkirchen, and I grew up there, too. From there I moved to Essen, and finally to my current place of residence, Neuss.
I’ve been playing backgammon for 11 years now. The depth of the game and the influence of probability were immediately fascinating to me.
And because competitions and contests have always held an attraction for me, this provides an awesome opportunity for daily brain jogging.

I was born in 1959 in Bad Kreuznach, and now I am living in Berlin. I work in film studies and am also an author and a wine dealer.
I also teach backgammon in a school group on the side. I rediscovered backgammon 10 years ago. The speed and dynamics continue to fascinate and challenge me to this day.
A game like life itself: plans come together as often as they fall apart, simply because chance wills it so.

I was born in Mannheim in 1966 and started playing backgammon when I was seventeen.
In the nineties I was very active in the German and international tournament scenes.
After a twenty-year break from backgammon,
I started playing again in September 2019 and
since then I have been developing and applying new methods to constantly improve my game.

I am a German Federation Cup runner-up. I was born in 1974 in Neuwald am Rhein. I spent my childhood in Bonn. My journey led me to Freiburg and eventually to Aachen, where I now live and work.
The leap from chess and Doppelkopf (German card game) to the world of dice and checkers was pretty easy.
At 17, the backgammon case would sometimes make an appearance in the later hours of our chess club meetings.
I’ve been under the spell of the game for more than 30 years. My favourite backgammon book is Advanced Backgammon by Bill Robertie
